Depression Diaries – June 15

I slept until 4:30 pm today.

That’s it. That’s all I’ve done today. It’s 4:51 and I want to go back to bed.

  1. Did you eat anything? Or have some water? I have been in the thick of it myself over the years. There have been days where if I was able to shower and nothing else, that was a good day. As long as you’re breathing you still have a chance. Depression is a liar. You will not always feel the way you do right now. It will pass. I promise.

  2. I used to sleep all day, I never had energy. Barely to get out of bed. I was sleeping at least 14 to 16 hours. I understand your feelings completely. Depression sucks. I believe that you will be okay. Remember that Life itself is a battle. It’s what you learn from it. As well as how you treat yourself. You seem pretty “Deadly” to me. 😁 It’s a positive. Stay Shining ❤💫

      1. Oh, that is actually very kind, thank you. I was quite sad when I was reading comments, so I apologize for assuming it meant something bad.

  3. You’re describing how groundhogs feel on Feb 2nd every damn year. “Eff this, I’m going back to bed”.
Relatable. You own your own situation, so I’m not saying this to enable…but more to point out that even outside of groundhogs, you’re not alone.
You’ll get through this. I’d rather you slowly emerge from/trudge through this mental malaise than force yourself to function on some outdated or perceived “normal” level. Groundhog this shit. You’ll know in your gut when you poke your head out whether it’s time to come out for an extended period.

      1. I get you. I really do. You will come out of it, even if you do have a few groundhog-type mis-starts.
        Do they still have biospheres?
